Sharis is a professional singer/songwriter, a single mother who has used the county programs and a success story of the Los Angeles county DCFS as a former foster youth who has experienced homelessness in Los Angeles with her son.
Sharis Rhodes is the Director of Political Affairs at the Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce, A member of the Caltrans African American DBE Committee Board and a member of the LAPD InterFaith Council.
The 2nd District of the LA County encompasses:
Inglewood, Culver City, Carson, Compton, Lynwood, Lawndale, Hawthorne and portions of Los Angeles including Crenshaw district and Unincorporated areas.
